stations and moved to the CBS affiliate after leaving college.
At the CBS affiliate he began his 12-year tenure with them in the
documentary unit as their editor. In a couple of years he became the
head of the documentary and programming film units and continued in this
position as the units grew and received many awards and recognition for
quality programming.
In the late 1970s the broadcast news division requested Bill's
services for their special projects division, where he continued a
challenging and rewarding career working on many award winning news
series and investigative reports.
In the early 1980s Bill took an early retirement from the CBS
affiliate to begin work on his own independent productions. This lead to
his becoming the vice president and general manager of Video Works, a
production/post production facility that was later absorbed by the
Derand Corporation.
For the last thirteen years Bill has worked as an independent
consultant to all of the major broadcast networks and many of the cable
channels.
Some shows and projects Bill has worked on include: NBC; Dateline, Today, ABC: 20/20, ABC News Specials, Good Morning America, Nightline, Politically Incorrect, World News Now, World News Tonight, CBS: 60 Minutes, 60 Minutes II, 48 Hours, PBS, ESPN, FOX, MSNBC, National Geographic Explorer, and The Olympics.
International experience includes location shooting in Israel, Romania, Ireland, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and multiple locations in the Caribbean.
Bill is involved with several programs under development with
Discovery, ABC Television and The Arts and Entertainment Channel. While
these projects are on going, he is also supplying technical support to
NBC, ABC and CBS and supporting his government and corporate clients
training and programming needs.
